On Oct. 21 at 12:30 pm in the Lithuanian World Center (Lemont, IL), “Child’s Gate to Learning” will organize its annual fundraising fall lunch “Derliaus pietūs”. Attendees will enjoy a good meal, see a brief musical program, and try their luck in the raffle. Proceeds help the organization continue supporting 11 after school centers in Lithuania attended by at risk family’s children.

Discussion “Lithuania and Central Asia: Historic Trader Partners” organized by the Central Asian Productivity Research Center (CAPRC). Professor Harry Lepinske, CAPRC chairman, will present a power point presentation, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Alexander Rimas Domanskis, attorney, Boodell and Domanskis. Panelist include: Hon. Saulius Pumputis, consul for economic affairs, Consulate General of Chicago, who will focus on “Lithuania: Economic Potential and Opportunities For Business Cooperation and Central Asia” and Andrew Johansson, treasurer of the U.S.-Latvian Chamber of Commerce and CAPRC regional coordinator for the Baltic Region, will focus on “Business Experiences in The Baltic”.
